Doria Ragland has been staying with her daughter, Meghan Markle, and son-in-law, Prince Harry, in Tyler Perry's $18-million mansion in Los Angeles. The grandmother is said to be on duty, looking after the Sussexes' son, Archie.

A source told Us Weekly that Ragland continuously lives with Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie. Allegedly, this has been the longest time that she had spent with her grandson since his birth in May 2019.

The insider added that the 63-year-old Ohio native wakes up early in the morning to read to Archie. She also helps the Duchess of Sussex prepare "all-organic" food for the 1-year-old kid.

Two months after the former actress and the Duke of Sussex welcomed their first child, a different tipster told the publication that Ragland had been a big help for the family. She had been helping them with the baby and even in life adjustment.

The yoga instructress also eased Meghan's transition to motherhood. The source revealed she had been an amazing and real "hands-on co-parent."

News emerged in June that the former Suits star moved her mother into their LA mansion. According to The Sun, she has unofficially become a nanny to Archie.

Another insider revealed she is ready to continuously help Meghan and Prince Harry if even they plan to extend their family. The insider continued that Ragland has her own quarters, a "granny annex" in the mansion, which is located in the famed 90120 postcode of Beverly Hills.

Allegedly, Prince Harry is being mocked for living with his mother-in-law. However, the prince does not seem to mind it as he has a "brilliant relationship with her."

One more tipster told Daily Mail that Meghan sees Ragland as her rock. Hence, she wants to keep her as close as she can as she doesn't trust many people that are not part of her close friends or family.

Ragland has been living in L.A. long before Prince Harry and Meghan moved there. She has her own home in View Park, Windsor Hills, which is said to be one of "LA's hidden gems on property websites."

She used to stay with the two at their Frogmore Cottage before Archie's birth. Allegedly, she had "silently but steely" influenced Prince Harry and Meghan's decision to step down as senior royals.

In January, Prince Harry and Meghan dropped a bombshell announcement, revealing their decision to step back from being fulltime working senior royals. They initially planned to divide their time between the UK and North America but moved to LA in March before the borders shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
