It has been said over and over again that Prince Andrew is Queen Elizabeth II's favorite son. She has never removed his HRH title despite his stepping back from royal duties. She also showed her huge support for the Duke of York when she attended Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's secret wedding.

In a report the royal expert Ingrid Seward wrote in The Sun, she said that whatever happens, Her Majesty will always consider the troubled prince her favorite son. She hasn't seen her third child since the coronavirus lockdown in the UK began in March.

Although the threat of the virus is still there, there's no way she would be missing the wedding of her alleged "long-time favorite grandchild." She was the one who, reportedly, taught Princess Beatrice to ride when she was young. She also helped to look after her when her mother, Sarah Ferguson, was banned from the royal residences.

Alternatively, Seward claimed Princess Beatrice was delighted to have Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at her wedding. Despite his once allegedly volatile relationship with Ferguson, the Duke of Edinburgh has seemingly forgiven her past mistakes and was, reportedly, impressed by her loyalty to Prince Andrew.

Just like Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip is also fond of Princess Beatrice. She calls him "awesome," so he also wanted to witness her wedding, which Seward said could have been the "last royal marriage of his lifetime."

The royal commentator believed it was that kind of "solidarity" that Prince Andrew needed as he awaits an uncertain future after being dragged into the Jeffrey Epstein case. But by the looks of it, as Seward puts it, he is still Queen Elizabeth's favorite son.

He hasn't lost his title and continuously receives money to live on, which is totally the opposite of what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have experienced. In an episode of Pod Save the Queen, the host Ann Gripper explained, as noted by Express, that the considerable difference between the Sussexes and Prince Andrew was that the younger royals could have a lot of opportunities to make "large amounts of money."

On the other hand, Prince Andrew may have a hard time receiving any decent offers. She added that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "have some good pulling power and credibility." In contrast, as Gripper claimed, their uncle is a "toxic prospect" until he faces the allegations made against him, clears his name, and puts the episode behind him.

This only means that Queen Elizabeth is quite reluctant to strip off Prince Andrew's title or cut off his funds, knowing that he may find it hard to survive. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan had already signed up with the public speaking outfit Harry Walker Agency, which has high-profile clients like the Obamas and the Clintons.
