This year has been difficult for Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. It is not only because their work has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, but also because of the scandal that the actress had been involved with. Now, a new rumor is claiming that the Hollywood couple is already heading to a multi-million dollar divorce.
Earlier this month, the Smith family friend and rapper August Alsina revealed that he and Jada had an affair but they have since gone their separate ways. He also claimed that the Aladdin actor knew about the affair and that he, actually, approved it.
The National Enquirer published a story this week claiming the "bizarre" marriage of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith already hit its rock bottom. The embarrassment over the affair with Alsina was, allegedly, the final blow to their 22-year marriage.
The tabloid brought up the accusation of infidelity on the Men In Black actor when his photo booth pictures with his Focus co-star Margot Robbie went viral in 2013. At the time, many slammed Smith for inappropriate behavior towards Robbie.
A source told the National Enquirer that Smith and the Gotham actress want everyone to think they are a perfect couple. However, it is claimed that the Will and Jada have been living separate lives for years and that their relationship has turned into a complete marriage of convenience.
The insider alleged the couple not only drifted apart as husband and wife but also at work. The tabloid claimed that Pinkett Smith spent all of her time at her office where she films her Facebook show, Red Table Talk. Will was not allowed in Jada's place and, if he does wind up there, the actress will immediately kick him out of there.
Gossip Cop, however, believed that the actress and Smith are not heading to a $270 million divorce as the Enquirer claimed despite the recent infidelity scandal on Jada. It is worthy to note that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith sat down at the recent episode of Red Table Talk wherein they discuss this very same issue.
It was revealed that the affair between Jada and August happened years ago when the Hollywood couple got separated. Jaden Smith and Willow Smith's parents, also, acknowledged that they were facing a difficult period in their marriage when the affair between the Girls Trip actress and Alsina happened. They also confirmed that they were not together when Jada got involved with Alsina.
At the end of their talk, the spouses said they worked out their problems and that the separation strengthened their "life partnership." Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith added that they're still committed to making their relationship work.
