Prince Philip had served the monarchy for decades, so he knows what’s the best thing to do to settle any issues. So when Prince Andrew’s name was dragged into Jeffrey Epstein’s controversy, the Duke of Edinburgh reportedly told him to take his punishment.

After shocking news broke about Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal, all eyes were on Prince Andrew, knowing that he had close ties with the billionaire. Although the financier and accused sex trafficker took his own life in August 2019, the investigation did not end with his death.

Authorities have been trying to identify more of the victims and Prince Andrew’s link to Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal. Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, said that she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York on three separate occasions when she was still a minor. The victim, who was only 17 years old at the time, was even photographed with Prince Andrew’s arm around her.

Prince Andrew had denied the claims multiple times, stating that he was not involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s scandal. He also noted that he had no idea that Epstein was abusing women. However, the FBI needed to investigate everyone linked to the case and, unfortunately, for the prince, the victim mentioned his name.

Earlier reports claimed that it was Prince Charles who urged Prince Andrew to step back from royal duties. A week later, the Duke of York had been summoned for a face to face meeting with Prince Philip.

"It was a tense meeting, and Philip told his son he had to take his punishment. There was no screaming or shouting, but Philip told him in no uncertain terms that he had to step down for the sake of the monarchy,” an insider said.

Prince Andrew, then, retired from his royal duties in December after a scandalous interview with BBC Newsnight. Many believed that the Duke of York decided to step away from his royal life to save the royal family from more embarrassment with his link to Jeffrey Epstein's scandal.

Meanwhile, One of the most shocking speculations in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal is that many claimed the billionaire is not even dead at all. A lot of people believed that his death was faked and that a high and powerful person, presumably Prince Andrew and even Bill and Hillary Clinton, helped him get away with it.
