One Direction set the internet on fire after posting a new message on its social media accounts, the group's first in two years. Fans went crazy in anticipation of the band's 10th anniversary and what the group prepared for them.

One Direction's official social media accounts went live after years in silence. The band's last post on Twitter was two years ago when they celebrated their eighth anniversary. On Instagram, their last post was back in May 2016 when they promoted their guest appearance on FOX's Family Guy.

On July 22, 1D shared a simple announcement on Twitter and Instagram. The group wrote on both platforms, "Tomorrow! You and me got a whole lot of history," along with the hashtag #10YearsOf1D and a black-and-white graphic that has "10 Years of One Direction" written on it.

It quickly sparked speculations on what the group has in store for Directioners on their anniversary. Many were expecting a reunion tour announcement while others were hoping for a comeback song or a live video chat of all the members.

Rumors have been swirling for months about the possibility of a reunion between the members. Over the past months, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne have talked about the likelihood that they would get back together.

The latest of which was when Payne shared on TikTok a video of him FaceTiming with Styles. This made fans wonder if the two were planning the One Direction reunion.

Zayn Malik, on the other hand, remained tight-lipped about the 1D reunion. However, they sparked speculations in April when all of Zayn's former bandmates re-followed him on social media.

Meanwhile, while Directioners are waiting for any announcement from the group, many continuously share their most unforgettable experiences as fans of 1D. Others posted their favorite songs from the English boy group.

So far, there are two things that One Direction will surely unveil on July 23: a new website and a docu video. It was earlier announced that 1D will be launching a new website on July 23.

The site will feature an archive of the group's music videos, behind-the-scenes content, and TV performances. It will also showcase the band's history, from the members' first audition to X Factor UK right up to the start of their hiatus.

The much-anticipated 10-year celebration video, on the other hand, will highlight One Direction's most historic moments including their performances and the members' special relationship with their fans. The video will be released on YouTube.
