Manchester United would like to sign five more players to the roster to complete the Old Trafford rebuild now underway under team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. If the money is made available, the requirements will be filled up in the upcoming transfer window with Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish identified as top targets.

Solskjaer's signing plan in the summer, however, will greatly depend on the outcome of United's next match. The Red Devils will face off with Leicester City on Sunday and if Solskjaer's side can pick up the points at stake from that battle, it would mean qualification for the Champions League.

Earning a spot to the prestigious competition next season would potentially boost United's revenue stream, leading to a more sufficient funding for the club's recruitment strategy, according to Metro.

The report added Solskjaer has identified at least nine players to bring in for the overhaul and four signings have already been completed. The Norwegian is believed ready to hire five more this summer so he can focus next on preparing the squad for title runs in the campaigns ahead.

As mentioned, Sancho and Grealish are the top candidates occupying the list of the United manager and both players appeared committed to join up with the club. Grealish, for instance, has already indicated in recent days that he is ready to leave Aston Villa and suit up with the Red Devils next season.

It is the same case for Sancho but getting the Bundesliga sensation to wear the United shirt next campaign seemed more complicated. The England international will cost a huge sum of money but Solskjaer is hoping that further talks with Borussia Dortmund will lead to a sizeable discount on the 20-year-old's transfer fee.

Apart from the two potential signings, United will hunt for a winger, a center-back, and a central midfielder for a boosted roster next season. The plan by Solskjaer is to get things done on this mission for the upcoming transfer window.

But first, the United boss has to ensure that his side will get the desired result in the Sunday match with Leicester. Pundits said United appeared to be losing steam after an incredible winning run that saw the club picking up 19 straight wins, starting in January.

The spell ended in the last two games where United settled to a draw and suffered a defeat. Notwithstanding, Sky Sports said Solskjaer is brimming with confidence that the showdown with the Foxes will see United winning a spot in the Champions League.

The Norwegian said his squad will be "100% fresh" for the crucial game. The pressure is high for United to win but a draw is enough for the club to play on Europe's top-flight competition again.
