Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has made clear that Gareth Bale is unlikely to play for Los Blancos again despite the Welshman's existing contract that runs until 2022. Amid the tension with his coach, the winger is advised to sit down and have a proper discussion with Real executives.

Former Real boss John Toshack called on the Wales superstar to take the initiative and resolve his situation at the Bernabeu. Toshack said he can see the problem getting sorted out with a serious dialogue between Bale and the Real board.

Toshack proposed as well that Bale should open up and let the football fans know of the real situation. The public has to know his side of the story, said the ex-Wales head coach.

"I think there's got to be some kind of dialogue there and they've got to sit down," Goal reported Toshack as saying.

It would help too if the Real outcast, who arrived in Madrid in 2013 and won multiple titles, including four Champions League crowns, with the club since then will speak and let the world know of his real sentiments on the situation.

For the most part, updates on the Bale's status with Los Blancos have been provided by his agent and Toshack said the flow of information coming directly from the player will be embraced better by his fans. It is important for the Welshman to make a connection with the public, the former manager added.

The latest word from Bale's camp came from his agent, Jonathan Barnett, who confirmed that his client has no intention to leave the Spanish giants. Despite the indication from Zidane that Bale will not be given playing minutes on the pitch due to technical decision, the winger intends to see out his remaining two years at the Bernabeu.

The statement was clear - no matter Zidane's plan to keep Bale out of the Real squad, the 31-year-old will continue to train, make himself available during match days, and collect his salary of around £14 million a year.

It would appear that Zidane's purpose of freezing the Welsh forward is already playing out. Bale did not make the cut in Real matches since La Liga resumed in June and the club wrapped up the season with the player not breaking a drop of sweat.

Real sealed the title last week and unsurprisingly, Bale but allowed a muted celebration of the victory and made sure he kept a distance from Zidane.

According to Marca, the feud between Zidane and Bale will not prevent the latter from getting his pay in full. The Spanish side will continue to send his weekly wage over the next two years even if the forward will not see a minute of play with Los Blancos, the report added.
