An industry insider recently shared some of the display details of the rumored 2021 iPhone SE. Over the past months, leaks and rumors surrounding the successor of the warmly received 2020 iPhone SE have been rife online. The latest information may have given away the size of the display as well as an interesting and much-awaited feature of the forthcoming entry-level iPhone.

2021 iPhone SE Display Details

A new set of information about the 2021 iPhone SE is now available online courtesy of a Twitter account with the handle Omega Leaks. According to the insider, the upcoming low-cost iPhone would feature a 6.1-inch display. This is interesting considering that the 2020 iPhone Se only sports a 4.7-inch screen.

The 2021 iPhone SE with a much bigger display could mean a couple of advantages. One is obviously more real estate, and the other is the bigger battery size. Others speculate that with this display size, Apple could utilize the body of iPhone XR for the 2021 iPhone SE just like it did with the iPhone 8 chassis on the 2020 iPhone SE. Apart from the display size, the tipster also shared that the 2021 iPhone SE will have Touch ID support.

Additionally, the forthcoming low-cost iPhone would reportedly feature a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button placed on the side of the handset. This claim aligns with what TFI Securities Analyst and reliable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo predicted about the Touch ID on the next low-cost iPhone from Apple. But it is worth mentioning that the Taiwan-based analyst referred to the model like the iPhone SE 2 Plus and not the 2021 iPhone SE.

Other 2021 iPhone SE Rumors

So far, there is no solid leak or rumor revealing the official name of the next low-cost iPhone that Apple would release next year. Interestingly, rumors have it that the upcoming entry-level iPhone might feature Apple's A13 Bionic chip. Several tech analysts believe that the Cupertino tech giant would like to house this kind of chipset and not the A14, so the arrival of the model would not affect the sales of the iPhone 12.

As for the release date, nothing is solid about it aside from the 2021 release window. Earlier, another tipster claimed that Apple might cut the price of the 2020 iPhone SE by $50 to $100 soon. This rumor triggered some to speculate that the 2021 iPhone SE might be nearing its launch. However, since this latest set of information about the 2021 iPhone SE is not yet official, it is smarter to take this with a pinch of salt.
