Kate Middleton and Prince William have always valued their privacy as a family. It is not shocking considering that they, reportedly, want to give their kids normal and simple lives.

Over the years, though, the royal couple has once or twice opened up about their parenting styles. Despite sharing a few insights on what they are like as parents, the public has yet to learn about their exact methods in raising their three kids.

Fortunately, royal sources, recently, revealed some of their "rules" inside their home, according to The Sun. Speaking to Fabulous Digital, one of the insiders said that Prince William and Kate Middleton do not allow the young royals to watch television until after tea time.

The source added that this has become one of their "new routines" amid the lockdown. Also, the television programmes that they watch must come with "parental approval."

Alongside their rules on watching television, insiders shared that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also encourage their kids to sleep at 7 in the evening. Throughout the day, though, they must, reportedly, spend their hours outside, "playing and being active."

In the United Kingdom, a time out, which is also known as the "naughty step," is very apparent in most households. However, the royal source said that Prince William and Kate Middleton do not practice this kind of rule when the kids do something naughty.

Instead, they implement the "chat sofa," especially for Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The source explained that this rule encourages the young Cambridges to talk "calmly" about their feelings.

This, allegedly, helps them, even the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to discuss the matters that have bothered them "in a more constructive manner." Whether the concerns are about school subjects, or about children starving on a television ad, the "chat sofa" is always open for the members of the family.

Among all the rules, the one strict rule that Prince William and Kate Middleton have inside their home is the "no shouting" policy, as per Cheat Sheet. This, reportedly, applies to everyone, even the future King and Queen Consort.

As stated, the Cambridge couple does not shout, especially in front of the kids. This, then, shows a "united front" and inspires the young royals to not shout at each other, as well. But, when they do, sources said that they will sit at the chat sofa to talk about it.
