Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, were rumored to be fighting since the coronavirus pandemic started. A tabloid claimed Furness has been blaming the X-Men actor for not acting fast that got them trapped in New York.

Woman's Day published a story this week claiming Jackman and Furness have been in a marital dispute on whether or not they should stay in the U.S. or move to Australia. A source told the tabloid that Deborra was upset that they did not leave for Australia before international travel restrictions were imposed during the start of the pandemic.

The insider claimed Deborra begged Jackman that they should return to Australia while they still can. Jackman, however, reportedly disagreed. The Greatest Showman actor allegedly believed that the virus would die down soon and things would go back to normal quickly.

The couple along with their two children are, currently, living in New York City, which was among the first cities that were hardest hit by the coronavirus virus and still is until now. Furness reportedly became furious with her husband for keeping his family trapped there.

The tabloid claimed Jackman is already homesick for his home country but he can't do anything now but to stay in the U.S. It added that the family has been spending time in the Hamptons during weekends to at least escape the atmosphere of sickness, civil unrest, and violence in the city.

The source, also, claimed Jackman's wife has been wanting to move back to Sydney permanently for years but she understands why Hugh needs to stay in America. Apparently, Furness also suggested a compromise. Instead of retuning to Australia, she reportedly tried to convince her husband to consider Los Angeles.

Gossip Cop noted that reports about the actor's plan to permanently move back to Australia had already been debunked. A rep of Jackman also confirmed that the actor has no plan to live permanently in his home country and it doesn't change even during this time of the pandemic.

The publication added that it wasn't surprising Woman's Day would make another false claim about Hugh Jackman's marriage. Earlier this year, the same tabloid claimed Furness was upset with her husband for flirting with Brooke Shields. It claimed Furness wasn't pleased with her husband's "flirtatious" encounter with Shields in New York City.

A few months later, Woman's Day also assumed that Jackman was having trouble in his marriage because the actor was, allegedly, spotted without his wedding ring. Both stories have been dismissed as well.
