It has been a long wait but The Boys Season 2 is finally coming this September. So what can fans look forward to in the next chapter of the Amazon Prime series. As usual, Billy Butcher and his team will be going up against The Seven but this time, they have more trouble in their hands. The official trailer for the second season reveals that the Supes are recruiting some Super Soldiers and they're just as powerful as Vought's Deadliest.

The trailer opens with one of the Boys asking Billy Butcher what happened to him. He then reveals that he discovered that his wife Becca is still very much alive but is being kept captive by Vought. Butcher then adds that they are in "a little bit of trouble." His team is clearly unconvinced and asked if he is messing with them but he simply smiles.

The "little bit of trouble" that Billy Butcher talks about turns out to be a lot. He confirms that The Boys are currently "the most wanted lads in the country" and there are "Supe Terrorists" as well as new superheroes. This is when new Seven member Stormfront is introduced and although she looks like a cheerful little lady, she turns out to be just as violent as the rest of the Supes.

At this point, it is somehow confirmed that Starlight has decided to fight with The Boys in Season 2 and Billy Butcher reveals his new plans. He intends to take down Vought and get his wife back. But first, the conflicts between The Seven is also teased upon. At one point, Homelander confronts the new girl who is now becoming the new darling of the press and she simply tells him that she is just trying to help.

Stormfront's plan is also revealed in The Boys Season 2 trailer. As it turns out, she's the mastermind behind the growing army of supermen that are being called the "Supe Terrorists" and she plans to use them in the fight against the Boys. Needless to say, it looks like Billy Butcher was wrong about having "a little bit of trouble."

The Boys Season 2 brings back Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Chace Crawford, Jesse T. Usher, and Dominique McElligot. The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito is also expected to play a larger role as Vought CEO Stan Edgar. The series returns on Amazon Prime on September 4.
