Fans are now wondering about the future of The Ellen DeGeneres Show after accusations against Ellen DeGeneres herself and the show's producers were made public. The 62-year-old host and her crew are now facing a major backlash following the alleged toxic environment, racism, and sexual harassment happening on the show's set.

It remains to be seen what the show's future will be, but its executive producer, Andy Lassner, seemed to insinuate that it would never be axed. Talking to a fan on Twitter, he said that "nobody is going off the air."

Despite the scandal, it cannot be denied that The Ellen DeGeneres Show is still one of the most famous talk shows in the world – not to mention being pretty lucrative, too.

Forbes noted that it makes more than $35 million in profits every year. DeGeneres also earns over $50 million for herself from the show.

According to SQAD, an advertising, research, analytics, and planning company, a 30-second national commercial from the show cost advertisers $51,570 during the fourth quarter of 2019 – $20,000 pricier than buying a spot on Dr. Phil, which cost $34,000, while Live! With Kelly and Ryan only cost $19,000. Hence, Warner Bros. may find it hard to let go of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

This is also not the first time that DeGeneres has faced controversy about her alleged mean attitude. In March, In Touch noted that Kevin T. Porter hosted a fundraiser on Twitter for the L.A. Regional Food Bank. He would donate $2 for every story that would reveal Portia de Rossi's partner had been unkind to fans, staffers, and celebrities.

After two days, there were about 300 stories that netted him a total of $600. However, he admitted in a tweet that it was hard to tell which tales were real or not, so he just rounded it up to 300.

But after four months, BuzzFeed News published an article with more surprising stories about The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Although the former employees did not take aim directly at DeGeneres herself, they pointed out their horrible experiences with the show's bosses.

People noted WarnerMedia launched an internal investigation to look into the case of the alleged toxic environment the show has. Dozens of current and formers The Ellen DeGeneres Show staffers have been interviewed about their workplace, and the network is reportedly disappointed with the result.
