Kate Middleton and Prince William have begun making physical appearances following the COVID-19 crisis. Although the couple continues to do some virtual visits, they are slowly returning to their usual royal duties.

During the lockdown, Kate Middleton and Prince William played virtual bingo with residents at the Shire Hall Care Home in Cardiff. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took turns in calling out the numbers from their Norfolk home of Amner Hall.

Kate Middleton and Prince William were enjoying the game, but what they didn’t know was that they were playing with cheeky bingo players at the time. One of the residents even left them in shock when she commented that they could have done better.

Prince William tried to make things fun by using a traditional bingo lingo. Kate Middleton, then, followed her husband’s lead and used a bingo lingo in her next call of numbers.

After a few more calls, Joan Drew-Smith called out bingo and won the round. The resident of the care home then asked Kate Middleton and Prince William how they were. The Duke of Cambridge said they were very well and asked the lucky bingo winner how they did — big mistake.

Joan Drew-Smith truthfully told Prince William and Kate Middleton that it “wasn’t as good as it should have been.” This comment made everyone laugh.

But, everything is out of fun, of course. Kate Middleton and Prince William definitely didn’t take the comments negatively or made a big deal out of it. The Duke of Cambridge even agreed with Joan Drew-Smith. He promised that they would try to be better next time before ending the video call.

Recently, Kate Middleton and Prince William met Joan Drew-Smith in person in a marquee over some afternoon tea. The Duke of Cambridge greeted her and asked if she remembers him and Kate. The cheeky resident responded: "Yes, you did a bloody shi**y job."

As if that’s not enough, Joan Drew-Smith pointed at Kate Middleton and asked Prince William if she was his “assistant.” The question made everyone burst into laughter. But, the Duchess of Cambridge had a perfect response to the feisty pensioner’s query.

"Well I am your assistant, I have been for a long time!" Kate Middleton said.

Just like the last time, Kate Middleton and Prince William enjoyed their time with Joan Drew-Smith. The future King even told the staff that, “I love Joan, she's brilliant. If only everyone was as honest as her."
