Paul Pogba's deal with Manchester United will see its end next year but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident the midfielder will stay beyond the contract's end. The Frenchman will grow further and find more success at Old Trafford, according to the Norwegian.

Recently, reports suggested that Pogba is gravitating towards signing a new deal that will see him still playing with the Red Devils after the summer of 2021. Solskjaer said he expects to continue working with the 27-year-old for at least a couple more years.

The picture that the team manager is painting seemed to deviate from the restlessness that the player displayed in the past seasons. Twice, Pogba had requested to be transferred out of the club as rumors swirled that he either wanted to rejoin Juventus or sign up with Real Madrid.

That course appeared to have changed when the French star returned from the injury bay. Solskjaer said the Pogba he works with at the moment is a new man.

"Since coming back from injury he has been a delight. He has worked really hard, he is happy and he is playing well," The Sun reported the United head coach as saying.

Pogba struggled with injury issues at the start of the season's campaign but managed to reestablish himself when the football games resumed in June. The midfielder blended quite well with United's January signing Bruno Fernandes and appeared both better-motivated and flourishing.

It's obvious that Pogba has allowed his better version to take the driver's seat and Solskjaer said the player is all geared up to grow and explode with United.

The manager said: "We are going to see the best of Paul in the next couple of seasons."

As previously stated, Solskjaer's vision is for the Frenchman to take the lead on the pitch and become one of the moving figures for the Red Devils in the upcoming campaigns. The boss said he expects Pogba to peak even more in the few years to come, which for United should translate to trophy wins.

The last time Solskjaer's side collected a silverware was in 2017 and Pogba was around to lift the club's Europa League trophy. The manager said Pogba can do the same in this year's edition of the competition, where United has reached the last-eight.

"Hopefully we can see him lift this trophy that he's done before ... He's got to make up for lost time and he's trying to do that," Goal reported the United boss as saying.

Solskjaer said it seemed to him that Pogba is enjoying his football, and that's because the Frenchman is giving extra time for training and he is happy on and off the pitch.
