Yellowstone season 3 episode 9 is coming later this week on Paramount Network, with the title "Meaner Than Evil." This episode serves as the penultimate of the season. The Dutton family will do whatever they can to protect and save their land while dealing with their issues at the same time.
In Yellowstone season 3 episode 9, Jamie will confront his past. Just recently, he found out that he is adopted and John is not his biological father, causing a huge impact on his life. Now, he needs to face a part of his past that he didn't know before and he may uncover some secrets about his past.
Rip, on the other hand, needs to deal with his problems and he'll approach Kayce about it. The bunkhouse is, also, facing a problem and must defend two of their own. There are a lot of stories that needed to be addressed within this episode, and some of these may continue in the season finale.
The battle between the Dutton family and Roarke, also, continues in Yellowstone season 3 episode 9. This is a major conflict this season and it could get even more intense in the penultimate. It looks like some of John's kids are plotting something to sell the ranch.
In the previous episode, Jamie informed Kayce about the land deal offered him. Also, he told him to persuade Beth to take the $500 million deal so that she could convince John to sell the land. She was able to talk to him about this matter, but their father remained unmoved.
John vowed to his father he would keep the land, making any deals impossible for him to agree and even a half-a-billion dollar deal won't change his mind. Perhaps, he thinks that selling the land will only give him a short-term fortune as the money could only last for a few years.
Now, the main question is whether or not Roarke will still be part of the next installment. If ever this story will be part of season 4, the ranch is in real jeopardy. Roarke is determined to get the land from the family, so there's a fear that they could end up losing the ranch for good.
