As per Wccftech, the animation of a star going supernova is usually considered a great event that later leads to the creation of the building blocks of life. The site believed that Nvidia is preparing for something big or explosive on that particular day. On August 21, Nvidia launched the first GeForce 256 graphics card, and several tech enthusiasts believe that the recent tweet of the company is somewhat related to this.
A few weeks ago, whispers online claimed that Nvidia would discontinue the high-end Turing card series. This includes the RTX 2070, RTX 2080, along with their Super variants and the RTX 2080Ti. According to rumors, the company would like to make room for the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 cards.
In May, Nvidia debuted its new Ampere GPU architecture. It is the company's first-ever graphics card developed for scientific computing, data analytics, and cloud graphics. Currently, information about the said GPU is scarce, but if rumors are accurate, the industry will find out in the next few days.
Nvidia Ampere Generation
The upcoming Nvidia Ampere graphics card series is anticipated to be a beast when it comes to performance. With a potentially beefed up performance, fans are expecting that the Ampere line up would also cost higher. The company is still mum about the next-generation graphics cards.
The Ampere series is rumored to have the RTX 3090 as its flagship model. It is rumored to sport a 25 GB of GDDR6X RAM on a 384-bit memory interface. It is worth mentioning that while the latest report is interesting, it is not official. These are purely based on speculations and leaks that have been popping up online over the past weeks. In this case, it is wiser to take this information with a pinch of salt.
