Prince Harry's childhood chum Tom Inskip advised the Duke of Sussex of his doubts about the stability of bride-to-be Meghan Markle, according to claims made in the tell-all royal book "Finding Freedom."

Inskip told Harry of his "doubts" and "reservations" about the now-Duchess of Sussex. Inskip "urged" Harry to live with Meghan first, the Daily Express reported. Harry, however, didn't take the advice well. Sources said Inskip's advice "hurt" the duke, who retaliated by not inviting "Skippy" and his wife to his wedding party.

Inskip and Harry became friends at Eton College. They became "inseparable," according to the Daily Mail. Inskip was with Harry in Las Vegas in 2012 when photos of the young prince naked were published. Five years later Harry was an usher at Inskip's wedding to Lara Hughes-Young. Meghan attended the event - one of her first appearances with Harry.

Inskip lives in Washington, D.C. He works at technology company Afiniti.

It is unclear if he and Harry have patched things up. The Daily Mail said it was likely they reconciled following the death of Inskip's mother-in-law last year.

Other reports have suggested Harry's brother Prince William had similar concerns. "Finding Freedom" claims this started a rift between the royals.

"Finding Freedom" sources claim the Duke of Cambridge told Harry to "take as much time" as he needed before marrying. But the younger prince took offense and considered his brother's words "condescending."
