Kate Middleton and Prince William have continued to do their royal duties and responsibilities amid the pandemic crisis. Recently, they, yet again, visited a care home facility as part of their usual royal engagements.

Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to Cardiff to interact with the residents and staff of the Shire Hall Care Home. Reports said that these are the same individuals, who played bingo with the Cambridge coupe via an online link.

While photos and clips have proven the visit as a success, a relative of one of the residents in the institution deemed the couple's visit as "upsetting," according to the Daily Express. Rhys Thomas, whose father is at the same care home, reportedly, revealed that he could not see his father due to the protocols.

Speaking to BBC Wales, Thomas revealed that he last saw his father before July. It was, reportedly, more "upsetting" when he learned that Kate Middleton and Prince William could visit the facility after the officials halted the relative's visitations. As noted, one of the carers tested positive for the coronavirus.

He asserted, however, that the Shire Hall Care Home likely did not know about the Cambridges' visit. He, then, added that he is not "critical" for not knowing about it.

Alongside sharing his upset, Rhys Thomas, also, praised the care home facility. He revealed how "happy" he is with the care they provide for his father in the last 18 months.

Metro UK released a similar angle to the narrative. The publication said that Kate Middleton and Prince William seemingly brought joy and fun to the residents of the facility. But, despite the success, Rhys Thomas, still, sees the whole thing as "insensitive."

He continued and explained that he, also, sent his complaints through an email. Following the letter, he, reportedly, received two phone calls from the facility, apologizing and explaining their side.

In response to his complaints, though, Shire Hall Care Home countered that the suspension on the visitations only applies to one of the communities inside the facility. This specific community continued its isolation until Friday. Therefore, Kate Middleton and Prince William were not able to visit the said community, where Thomas' father likely resides.

In the end, Rhys Thomas, reportedly, shared that he did not receive the information about it. As for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they have yet to respond to the publications' requests for comments.
