Dune continues to be the one major film that hasn't been affected by the coronavirus outbreak as it is still scheduled to premiere in December. However, there have been concerns about the new live-action adaptation of Frank Herbert's books since Warner Bros. hasn't been marketing the movie although it is only a few months away from release.

Luckily, Paul Atreides himself has confirmed that fans will not have to wait too long to get their first glimpse at Denis Villeneuve's film. Timothée Chalamet revealed that the first trailer for Dune will finally be released later this month.

Timothée Chalamet is known for several memorable roles like Finn Walden in Homeland, Elio Perlman in Call Me By Your Name, and Kyle Scheible in Lady Bird. He has even played a real monarch in The King as well as a beloved book character Laurie in Little Women.

However, fans believe that his greatest role will be in Dune, where he has been cast as Paul Atreides, who is destined to be the savior of the planet Arrakis. Although there have been photos of Chalamet as the character, people have yet to see him in action as the future Muad'Dib.

So, how long do fans have to wait for an update on Dune? Timothée Chalamet has just confirmed some good news when responding to one of his Twitter followers. A fan had told Chalamet that it was their birthday and asked for "some content" on the upcoming sci-fi flick.

Interestingly, the Men, Women, and Children star simply answered, "trailer before sept," meaning the teaser will finally be dropped before the end of August.

This is certainly welcome news for fans who have been worried that Warner Bros. has forgotten to promote Dune amidst the delays and problems caused by COVID-19. However, it looks like the studio is simply waiting until its other major projects resume production before setting off on the marketing plans.

But, when could the first Dune trailer possibly be released? There are speculations that Warner Bros. is aiming to drop the teaser along with the re-release of Inception on August 21. This might be the best way to hype up the Christopher Nolan film's re-release and also promote the upcoming Timothee Chalamet flick.

For now, the studio has yet to confirm the trailer's official release date but stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Dune will star Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, and many more. The film is scheduled for release on December 18.
