Alita: Battle Angel wasn't the biggest box office hit of 2018 but it certainly has an extremely loyal following. Fans have continued to beg Disney to develop a sequel to the cyberpunk action film that was originally produced by 20th Century Fox.

But, what could people possibly expect in Alita 2? The fanbase is now asking the House of Mouse to cast a Black Panther actress as one of the beloved characters who just happen to be one of the manga's most popular Motorball contestants.

People have been signing the petition asking Disney to work on Alita 2 and, although the studio has not yet addressed the possibility of the sequel coming true, there have been a lot of speculations on what could happen in the film.

For instance, some believe that the second film will finally focus on Alita being a part of the Motorball tournament since this part of her life was most left out from the first movie.

With that in mind, it should be time to introduce the other Motorball contestants who were only briefly featured in Battle Angel. Interestingly, fans already have suggestions when it comes to the casting of Zafal Takie aka Crimson Wind.

In the manga, Zafal Takie is the only other female Motorball contestant other than Alita. She is described as a quiet person who doesn't even talk to her fellow contestants and has a strong demeanor. Zafal is depicted as a tall, dark-skinned woman and her appearance is actually inspired by rock singer Grace Jones. Although Jones isn't available Alita 2 fans believe they have found the perfect actress to take on the role and she is already an established Marvel Cinematic Universe star.

Fans are hoping that Disney will decide to cast Danai Gurira as Zafal Takie in Alita 2. Several fans have pointed out that the Black Panther actress is perfect for the role because she is already known for playing strong independent women.

After all, her character Michonne in The Walking Dead rarely speaks and is really good with a katana. All of these points, along with her acting prowess, are believed to be the best reasons why Gurira is the only actor who should take on the part.

For now, it is important to point out that Disney has not yet announced that they would be working on Alita 2. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that the studio will eventually bring back Rosa Salazar to play the cyborg in a sequel. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
