Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, reportedly, quietly moved from Beverly Hills to Santa Barbara, where they've bought a permanent home with the help of Prince Charles. This new house is where they plan to set their roots and raise their son, Archie Harrison.

According to Page Six, Prince Harry and Meghan have been staying in their new mansion since the beginning of July. A source confirmed that they own the house located in an upscale Montecito community close to friends like Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

Prior to their Santa Barbara move, Prince Harry and Meghan were staying in an $18 million house owned by Tyler Perry. However, paparazzi drones were able to locate their young family and took photos of their son while he was playing in the backyard with Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland.

The Sussexes sued unnamed paparazzi agencies for this invasion of privacy. At that time, the couple was apparently in the process of closing a deal in Santa Barbara.

The source said that this Santa Barbara house has "considerable privacy" and it's a "quiet community." It can be a place where the royals can enjoy a normal life.

Another source told The Sun that Prince Charles helped Prince Harry and Meghan find their new home in America. The report suggested that the Prince of Wales financially assisted in the purchase of the $10 million home.

TMZ, however, reported that the mansion is worth almost $15 million. It has nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, as well as a separate guest house where Doria will likely stay. The property, also, has a pool, a sprawling lawn and multiple gates.

Prince Harry and Meghan moved to the U.S. in March after their five-month stay in Vancouver, Canada. The couple expressed that they want to have a private life and earn a private income after stepping back from their royal roles early this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received some criticisms for deciding to live in Los Angeles because the area is a paparazzi hotbed. Reports stated that they were still looking for a more permanent home in the West Coast and their stay in Perry's house was temporary.

Incidentally, Princess Diana, also, wanted to live in Santa Barbara with her young sons after her divorce from Prince Charles in the 1990s. According to her former butler Paul Burrell, the Princess of Wales had a house plan of a home she was keen on buying in Malibu. These plans were, apparently, found on her home office desk on the day she died.
