Melania Trump has continued to receive criticisms and backlashes from the public. Since she arrived inside the White House, her stint as the First Lady of the United States has faced several controversies.

One of the most controversial objections that she received was during her earlier days in the East Wing. This, reportedly, came after the allegations that she was using the White House and her position to promote her businesses.

Following their move inside the Executive Residence in 2017, the White House's website updated its platform to cater to the new administration. One of the updates included personal biographies and information of the First Couple.

The Washington Post reported that the bio page of Melania Trump detailed her businesses, according to the Daily Express. On her page, it read that she is a "successful entrepreneur," detailing all of her brands, particularly her jewelry collection, the "Melania Timepieces & Jewelry."

Upon its publishing, the First Lady faced a wave of backlash from the public. Reports noted that this was, also, the same period when Donald Trump was facing "pressure" due to the issues of "conflicts of interest" between his position and his "commercial life."

The Trump's camp, shortly, responded to the allegations that Melania was using the White House to promote her businesses. A spokesperson for the First Couple, reportedly, said that the information about the First Lady's "entrepreneurial success" was all based on "fact," emphasizing that they were not endorsements.

Despite contending their side, the White House website "swiftly deleted" the updated details about Melania Trump's previous businesses. They, also, reportedly, eliminated all mentions of LGBT rights, climate change, and global warming.

Cheat Sheet, previously, released a brief list of Melania's businesses before becoming the First Lady of the United States. The publication asserted that she has earned her own money through various ventures.

Aside from her modeling career, she, also, dabbled in the film and television industry. But, the ventures that she seemingly concentrated on were her jewelry and skincare lines.

The same publication added that Melania Trump has continued to earn "royalties" from her photos way back her modeling years. In summing it all, her current net worth is, reportedly, $50 million.

These days, however, she is not earning a salary for her role inside the White House. Unlike her husband, who, reportedly, receives $400,000 per year as the United States President, her work and effort as the First Lady is all for free.
