Melania Trump has received a lot of criticisms since she became the United States First Lady. But, aside from the objections from the public, reports said that she has been well-loved by the American people more than her husband, President Donald Trump.

As the US leader's wife, she has already launched several projects and initiatives in the last three years of her stay inside the White House. Her "Be Best" campaign is just one of them, which seemingly became the central effort of the East Wing.

While many individuals have shown appreciation and love toward Melania Trump, comparisons between her and the former First Ladies of the United States have remained apparent. It is not uncalled for given that there have been a total of 53 First Ladies inside the White House.

According to Business Insider, however, there are certain things that make Melania far different from the former First Ladies. On top of the list, it was said that she is one of the two First Ladies who was born outside the United States.

As stated, she was born in Slovenia, which is a communist country. Therefore, this makes her the only First Lady who grew up in a communist nation.

Being born and raised outside the US only means that English is not her first language. Accordingly, this also makes her the only First Lady whose mother tongue is not English.

It was also revealed that Melania Trump is a "polyglot." Aside from English and her native Slovenian language, she can also speak French, German, Italian, and Siberian fluently.

Donald Trump's wife was also said to be the only FLOTUS who is a third spouse of her husband. Prior to his wedding to Melania in 2005, the now-US President was married twice. Once in 1977 to Ivana Trump and in 1993 to Marla Maples.

As added by CNN, Melania Trump was a model in Yugoslavia, who started at a young age. She reportedly emerged in the world of modeling and fashion when she was 16-years-old.

The publication also said that the now-First Lady has appeared in several magazine covers, including GQ and Vanity Fair. Moreover, she is the only First Lady of the United States who had "nude" photos for her career.

Aside from Jaqueline Kennedy, Melania Trump is the only Catholic First Lady. This is why her visit to the Vatican reportedly became very "meaningful" as she met Pope Francis and had her rosary beads blessed.
