Meghan Markle and Prince Harry said in their withdrawal announcement that they wish to be “financially independent” as they start their new life outside the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also, explained that they want to focus more on their family and charities.

However, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are still receiving financial help from Prince Charles, which is the complete opposite of what they said in their announcement. Now, E! News host Morgan Stewart noted that accepting help from the Prince of Wales could affect their goal of becoming “financially independent.”

"I think it's just not a great look. They leave, they want privacy, they want to be financially independent. Everything we've ever heard from them since them moving from Britain to Los Angeles was that they're going to do it on their own, they're going to be financially independent, they have got deals in the work,” she said.

Now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer working royals, they will cover their own expenses including their security bills. U.S. President Donald Trump had made it clear that the government will not pay for the couple’s security, so they have to do it themselves.

This may not be a problem for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they have multi-million net worths. And since they said that they wanted to be “financially independent” after their royal exit, they may have already sorted things out.

There were whispers and speculations that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will try their luck in the entertainment scene. In fact, the Duke of Sussex even showed interest in doing voiceovers as well. When the couple met Disney CEO Bob Iger at the London premiere of The Lion King, he shared that he’s open to doing that kind of job.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus outbreak ruined all of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans. Now that they are not receiving any funds from The Firm, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have to find ways to afford their lavish lifestyle.

A previous report claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are asking Prince Charles to pay for their security bills. The Prince of Wales is, allegedly, paying for the couple’s round the clock security.

The insider said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expected that British taxpayers would continue paying for their security bills. But, after knowing that this will not happen, the couple asked Prince Charles to "step in."
