BTS took home the Daesang or Grand Prize for this year's Soribada Best K-Music Awards. Numerous Kpop idols were, also, honored for their achievements in music.
According to a report by All Kpop, Soribada concluded its annual Best K-Music Awards at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul after meticulously processing the results of internal data, international mobile votes and critic ratings for the contenders in this year's award show.
Apart from BTS, JYP's girl group TWICE received the honor for Artist of the Year. TWICE had a busy 2019 with multiple comebacks including two Japanese releases last year which also topped the Oricon Chart, Yonhap reported.
BTS and TWICE, also, received the Popularity Awards for their outstanding performances last year.
Music of the Year went to Red Velvet after Irene, Seulgi, Joy, Yeri, and Wendy released their trilogy of comebacks with The ReVe Festival last year. Irene and Seulgi were present to receive the award on behalf of their members.
Stage of the Year went to former WANNA One member Kang Daniel. Kang Daniel, who founded his label KONNECT Entertainment, has continued to impress with his music and stage performances as a solo artist since last year.
Soribada, also, awarded the Bonsang Award to Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, IZ*ONE, TWICE, BTS, NCT Dream, VICTON, Oh My Girl, AB6IX, GFriend, ASTRO, Kang Daniel, and trot singer Lim Young Woong.
Meanwhile, CRAVITY, TOO, and MCND shared the Rookie Awards, which shone the spotlight on promising new acts in the music scene.
Gaho, who performed the song "Start Over" for the drama Itaewon Class won the top prize for the best OST.
In addition to their Bonsang Award, ASTRO also took home the Global Artist Award.
Kim Do Hoon took the trophy for the Producer Award, while the Songwriter Award was given to Lee Han Gil for the song "Turns Out Comatose."
Also among the recipients of this year's Soribada Best K-Music Awards were ITZY and TXT (Artist Awards), Stray Kids and IZ*ONE (Global Hot Trend Awards), The Boyz and (G)I-DLE (Performance Awards), Nature, LOONA, and GWSN (Rising Hot Star Awards), ONEUS and Cosmic Girls (Music Icon Awards), Kim Jae Hwan, Kim Woo Seok, and Ha Sung Woon (Voice Awards), DKB and AleXa (Next Artist Awards), as well as Kim Soo Chan and Second Aunt Kim Da Bi (Rising Trot Award).
Kang Daniel, also, received the Hallyu award for New K-Wave Real Fan Award.
