Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's unofficial biography, Finding Freedom, has continued to shock many individuals following its release earlier this week. The material lays out several allegations about the Sussex couple, as well as the members of the British Royal Family.

One of the claims includes the attempt to clarify what happened behind closed doors between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Queen Elizabeth when they flew to Canada last year. Several British papers referred the couple as a "snub" to the British Monarch since they skipped the holidays at Sandringham for their much-needed break, according to the Daily Express. But, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, reportedly, cleared out that it was Queen Elizabeth, who "encouraged" Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to go to Canada.

The book states that the Duke of Sussex "had okayed" his plans with his grandmother before they flew out of the United Kingdom. After spending the past two Christmases in Sandringham, Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, agreed and urged them to take their six-week break from royal duties.

The authors, also, added that, after all, she regularly saw the Sussex couple in Windsor Castle before the latter's royal tour in Africa. Not to mention, Prince William and Kate Middleton had, also, skipped the annual Christmas in the Norfolk property.

Before starting their six-week break from royal duties last November, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle carried out several engagements, including the infamous tour in Africa. The last time the public saw them alongside the rest of the British Royal Family was during the Remembrance Sunday service, according to Hello! magazine.

While everyone thought that they were "relaxing" and "winding down" upon their arrival in the Vancouver Island property, reports said that they were "anxiously planning" their exit. Sources, then, shared that their "break" was far from being a real break.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the United Kingdom in January. The first thing that they did was to visit Canada's High Commission in London to "thank" the staff for the warm welcome during their stay in the country.

Following their public appearance, they made their "bombshell" announcement on Instagram, revealing their plans to step down from the royal posts. The Daily Express reported that while Queen Elizabeth was aware of their desires to quit the royal life beforehand, she, reportedly, advised them to finalize everything first before coming out to the public.

But, to their surprise, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex went against the Queen's "explicit wishes." This, allegedly, "hurt" her, causing her to call the Sandringham Summit to sort it all out.
