Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have "made it clear" their move to the U.S. is permanent. Reports claim they might not return to the UK. They recently moved to a new home in Santa Barbara.
They have already "settled" into the "quiet privacy of their community," a representative for the couple said. They secretly relocated in July, according to Sky News.
Sources said they had since decided to stay at the property "long term." They are hoping to lead a "normal life."
Before their move to Santa Barbara, Markle and Harry stayed at Tyler Perry's mansion in Los Angeles. While they tried to live a private and quiet life, reports said paparazzi drones were able to spy on them and even took photos of their son.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's move to the U.S. came before Canada closed its borders as a result of a virus lockdown. They had temporarily stayed in Vancouver Island after announcing their plans to step down as senior members of the royal family.
In their "bombshell" post they said they would divide their time between the U.S. and the UK.
Following their official exit March 31 the duke and duchess haven't returned to the UK. Part of the reason is COVID-19. However, their latest move to Santa Barbara suggests they don't intend to return. Reports say Markle and Harry intend to "put down roots" in Santa Barbara.
