Jessica Mulroney, Meghan Markle's best friend, has ended her social media hiatus. Upon her return, she hinted that she's working on a project for marginalized communities in Canada and she also revealed that the alleged issue between her and the Duchess of Sussex is "fake news."

According to Daily Mail, Mulroney hinted about her new project in a selfie with her daughter, which was posted on Instagram story. She implied that she used her time away from the internet to find a way to help the disadvantaged. While Mulroney did not share the specific details, she apparently posted to ask people about old computers they no longer use.

A day before posting the selfie, Mulroney also shared a video of her twin sons' birthday celebration. She wrote in the description that her boys gave her a reason to "live and work when everything fell apart."

It comes after the stylist was accused of using her white privilege against a Black influencer more than two months ago. Sasha Exeter claimed that Mulroney sent disparaging messages to her in private, after the stylist apparently took issue with one of her posts about Black Lives Matter when Exeter said it wasn't directed at Mulroney.

The former host of I Do, Redo issued a public apology to Exeter but the next day, the influencer posted another private message to show Mulroney threatened her of libel. Facing backlash, the fashion expert decided to temporarily quit social media and said that she will use her hiatus to be more educated on racial issues. Mulroney also resigned from all of her TV gigs, both in Canada and the U.S.

Rumors immediately came up online that Meghan decided to end her friendship with Mulroney because of that feud with Exeter. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly wanted to distance herself from her best friend. She allegedly turned down suggestions that she must be seen with Mulroney to boost the latter's profile after the argument with Exeter.

One of Mulroney's followers made a comment on her children's videos about getting dumped by the Duchess of Sussex. She answered this comment and said that it's "tabloid fake news."

In July, Mulroney's husband, Ben, also made a sweeping comment about his wife's friendship with Meghan Markle. Ben simply posted "FALSE" on social media in response to rumors that Jessica plans to publish a tell-all book about the royal because of their falling out.
