Simon Cowell is now recovering at home after staying in the hospital for a week following back surgery. Reports, however, revealed that it's still unclear when Cowell will return in America's Got Talent, but he is reportedly making plans for Britain's Got Talent.

Simon's rep, Ann-Marie Thompson, confirmed on Sunday that the music producer is now at his Malibu home after his week-long hospital stay. Cowell underwent surgery last week after he broke his back in several places while trying out a new motorbike in the courtyard of his home.

A source told People Magazine that Cowell is very happy to be home. He can also walk better than his doctors had expected.

The 60-year-old AGT judge missed the first week of NBC's live show. Kelly Clarkson filled in for him. The two have been friends since Clarkson won the first season of American Idol in 2002 in which Simon was one of the judges.

In her recent tweet, Clarkson hilariously told Cowell not to hurry back because she was getting comfortable in his chair. At the end of the clip, Kelly said she was just kidding and wished Simon to get well so he can get back to work sooner. Simon expressed how grateful he is for Clarkson to be filling in for him.

Cowell's participation for the rest of AGT Season 15 has not been determined. The Sun, however, reported that Simon is already preparing to shoot a Britain's Got Talent special in October alongside fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams.

The special will reportedly feature some of the best talents since the reality show started in 2007. Simon is reportedly confident that he will be well enough to participate in the special.

But a source earlier told the same publication that it could take weeks for Simon to recover from the accident and his surgery. His recovery will also involve intensive physiotherapy and wearing a back brace. The insider added that Simon will likely miss the remaining episodes of AGT despite telling his friends he needed to be in the show.

Meanwhile, Simon's ex, Terri Seymour, told ExtraTV that Cowell is in good spirits and has taken a few steps during his stay in the hospital. He is keeping himself busy and has been on his iPad all day long, working on his schedule and making some calls.
