BTS V earned the title of "National Treasure" after posting a pair of selfies while holding a Samsung phone on Twitter.
According to a report by All Kpop, V's selfies became the talk of the town because of his sleek new hairstyle and hair color, which complemented his perfect visuals. In one hour and 29 minutes, the post was liked by one million Twitter users.
V's recent post helped him set the record for the third fastest tweet to reach 1 million likes. He came next only to Harry Styles, who achieved the feat in one hour and one minute, and BTS, who reached the milestone in one hour and 11 minutes.
Kim Taehyung, also, achieved the record of being the fastest Korean solo artist to surpass one million likes on Twitter.
Because of his tweet, V caused waves on social media as he trended on Twipple Japan and Twitter.
As fans gushed over his strong visuals, fans declared that his face should be considered a national treasure. Some fans, also, described Kim Tahyung as a Disney prince, a perfect work of art and a Greek statue.
Apart from discussing V's looks on social media, fans also became interested in the device he was holding. Fans discussed the model of the phone and said they liked the texture of the device.
It can be recalled that, last week, V, also, caused a similar stir on Instagram for drawing five million likes for a photo that was posted on Big Hit Entertainment's official Instagram account.
The photo, which showed V's side profile and his new hair color for the promotion of BTS' comeback "Dynamite," drew 5 million likes in a matter of days. V is, currently, the only Korean male artist to receive five million likes on a single photo.
V's record breaking streak, also, continued with his music when his solo track from BTS' last album Map of the Soul: 7, topped the iTunes charts in over 85 countries. This followed his achievement for his solo track "Sweet Night," a song he produced, wrote and performed for the OST of Itaewon Class, as it topped the iTunes chart in 109 countries, All Kpop reported.
Kim Taehyung, recently, confirmed that he will release his solo mixtape before the end of the year. He said he is, already, busy writing the songs for his solo debut.
