Filming of Mnet's I-LAND has partially resumed after cast members and staff tested negative for COVID-19.

All members of I-LAND had to get tested after a member of the cleaning staff who visited the set Aug. 12 was found to be positive for the coronavirus, according to a report by All Kpop. The set was shut for disinfection.

A production source said I-LAND had implemented stringent safety measures before the cleaner was found to be positive. He said temperature checks and close monitoring of individuals on the set was strictly enforced.

No one else has tested positive. Staff members whose results have not yet been returned have been asked not to come back to work until they are cleared, according to the latest reports.

In the most recent episode of I-LAND, which aired Aug. 14, the top 12 contestants were revealed. Sunghoon, Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake and K, were among the first batch of trainees to make it to the second half of the show. Sunoo, Daniel, Ni-ki, Geonu, Ta-ki, and Hanbin were also among the 12.

The trainees received a surprise from BTS when RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook checked out I-LAND and interacted with the contestants. They dished out advice about leadership, songwriting, performances and the challenges of being a star.

Suga said he developed his songwriting skills while still a trainee. He was confident the trainees would debut with no problems - because they were better looking than him. RM said to become a good leader an artist should step up when things were needed.

I-LAND is an "observation reality program" that aims to discover a new boy band. It is the first project of CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment's BELIF+.
