Selena Gomez has been sharpening her cooking skills while staying at home because of the coronavirus pandemic. There is no better person to show off her new skills than her best friend, Taylor Swift. The Folklore singer made a cameo on Selena + Chef and fans were thrilled to see how the two couldn't be prouder of each other.

In the latest episode of the newest HBO MAX at-home cooking show, Gomez's guest chef was master chef Roy Choi. The Korean American chef taught the "Rare" singer how to make a Korean BBQ Texas breakfast taco.

Impressed by her newfound skills, Selena asked Choi if she could show her dish to her friend through FaceTime. The chef agreed and it turned out that the "friend" Gomez was talking about was no other than Taylor Swift.

Selena told Taylor she just wanted to show the latter what she made because she is proud of herself. The "Lover" singer was impressed by her BFF's Korean BBQ Texas breakfast taco.

Swift said she is eager to taste Sel's dish. She, also, warned the "Lose You to Love Me" singer that she better send her the recipe of her taco or else she would hear words from Taylor.

Taylor Swift admitted that she is jealous that her friend was able to cook with the top chefs in the country. The "Cardigan" singer said she is very proud of Selena and added that she's been waiting for so long for Gomez to become obsessed with cooking.

In the end, the two exchanged "I love you's" before hanging up the phone. Gomez, then, told chef Roy that Taylor is her "cooking person" and it's a big deal for her best buddy that she is learning how to cook.

Selena + Chef has 10 episodes and it airs on HBO Max every Thursday. The singer/actress also serves as the executive producer of the show.

So far, Gomez had prepared and cooked several dishes in the past four episodes. Gomez learned how to make French omelette and cheese souffle with chef Ludo Lefebvre in the pilot episode.

In Episode 2, Selena put her hands on slimy octopus and prepared seafood tostada with chef Antonia Lofaso. In Episode 3, on the other hand, Gomez learned how to cook spicy miso ramen and bake matcha chocolate chip cookies with Candice Kumai.

Meanwhile, the recent interaction between Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift came a few weeks after the former revealed that her dream is to have a song with her bestie, Taylor Swift. During her appearance in Twitch's Animal Talking, the "Wolves" singer hinted that what is keeping her and Swift from collaborating is the fact that they are too close to each other, more like a family.

However, the singer said they've talked about it and she is not closing her door about the collaboration in the future. Selena Gomez, also, revealed that she is, currently, working on her new album.
