Rumors have it Reese Witherspoon is jealous of Jennifer Aniston's Emmy nomination for The Morning Show. With decades-long friendship, is there any truth about it?
In a report Life & Style published, via Gossip Cop, it claimed Witherspoon was upset Aniston received an Emmy nomination, while she did not. An alleged source said the Big Little Lies star was expecting to be nominated, too, but finding it a huge surprise to see her co-star's name instead.
This, allegedly, resulted in a tension between the two. Although she seemed to show happiness for the 51-year-old actress, she could not help but think the nominated should have been her.
Gossip Cop debunked the claim, saying the dubious story was not true at all. Despite the rumors, Witherspoon and Aniston had a close friendship.
They both made a million of dollars for an episode of The Morning Show alone, so no one should be jealous of one another. They would even work together again on the show's second season.
However, The Morning Show Season 2's production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Witherspoon even celebrated the nominations the AppleTV+ show received, without any hint of jealousy to anyone.
Aniston even got Whiterspoon's support after she posted her game of pool with Friends co-star and pal, Courteney Cox. The Scream star effortlessly managed to sink all the balls, while Brad Pitt's former wife had a hard time to land even a single ball.
She missed shot after shot that made her look frustrated, saying it had been a long while since she last played. In her post, Cox said she might have had a good night, but would there be a way that her friend could get any cuter.
Aniston, on the other hand, captioned the clip by saying friends should never let their pals play pool, especially if they were not good at it. As the two shared a video of their game on Instagram, it both garnered a lot of likes and comments from the likes of Kaley Cuoco and Gwyneth Paltrow, among others.
However, it was Witherspoon's comment that stood out. The 44-year-old star cheered for Aniston, inviting her to get back to work where they could make all those shots happen, PinkVilla noted.
Clearly, there was no bad blood between the two. It was also not true that Witherspoon was jealous of Aniston.
