British Billionaire Alki David is reportedly encouraging Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to go into hemp farming, deeming it a  "golden opportunity" for the Sussex couple following their exit from the British Monarchy.

Earlier in July, the Duke and Duchess relocated to Santa Barbara after months of staying in Tyler Perry's mansion. Speaking to the Daily Express, Alki said that the couple's new estate sits on land that is "perfectly suited" for growing cannabis. He added that they could net about $4 million per year.

The publication noted that Santa Barbara has now become one of the world's "pot-growing hotspots." Last year, the industry reporredly boosted the local tax coffers by $20.9 million.

Alki David said he would give Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "specially cultivated" hemp seeds for free, adding that he will buy the crop back during the harvest season. He said the seed was named "the Prince Harry," which would be developed to act as a painkiller.

The entrepreneur said that he "hoped" the Sussexes they would appreciate the "ethical potential" of getting into the business. He also referenced Prince Charles' love of gardening and stated that the Duke of Sussex might have the same interest. The couple reportedly has a "natural caring nature," which will likely pique their interest to explore the medical potential of his business proposal.

Alki asserted that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry now have a big mortgage to pay after their recent property purchase. They could "make a fortune" and become a "figure" in the hemp industry.

Aside from the words of encouragement, he revealed that the couple could ship the crops to England. He reportedly believes that it will be a "key part of the appeal" for the royal-born Prince. In the end, the British billionaire, who has a net worth of over $3 billion, said that he will present the hemp seed named after the Duke in a "gold box."

9Honey reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently centering their focus on their new non-profit organization, Archewell. Amid the pandemic crisis, they have also reportedly signed up with the Harry Walker Agency, which is a speaking agency in New York that represents Barack and Michelle Obama.

While the details of their new venture have remained undisclosed, reports said that the public will have to wait for the couple's announcements. As for Alki David's "lucrative" business proposal, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained silent about the matter.
