It's no secret that Wonder Woman 1984 is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2020. After all, fans have been hoping to find out how Diana Prince managed to be reunited with Steve Trevor in the 1980s although the latter was killed off in the 2017 movie. Luckily, we now have another awesome look at the upcoming Gal Gadot film. The second trailer for the sequel has just been dropped at DC FanDome and it reveals Cheetah's shocking final form as the villain takes on Diana!

The Wonder Woman 1984 trailer opens with a breathtaking shot that brings us back to Themyscira when Diana Prince was still a child. As Diana prepares to join the other Amazons in a competition, her mother Queen Hippolyta has a surprising message for the child. "This world is not yet ready for all that you will do," the Amazonian queen says. "Your time will come, Diana, and everything will be different."

Hippolyta's message is set throughout the young Diana dominating the Amazons' competition and the present day Diana using the Lasso of Truth to fly across the sky. However, there's more action to come as Maxwell Lord suddenly takes over several TV screens announcing that he will change people's lives. One of the people who hears Maxwell is Barbara Minerva, who is clearly interested in the offer. Interestingly, what she wants isn't quite the same as everybody else's.

In a later shot, Barbara Minerva announces she doesn't want to be like anybody else. "I want to be an apex predator," she says. At one point she confronts Diana Prince saying her friend has always had everything while people like her has had nothing. "Well, now it's my turn," Barbara announces as she approaches Diana.

Interestingly, Barbara's first fight with Diana still shows the former as a perfectly normal-looking woman. However, this quickly changes in the latter part of the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer when she transforms into a monster covered in fur. "Barbara, what did you do?" Diana asks before launching into a full attack at her former friend. Needless to say, this is one epic fight that fans will want to watch in theaters.

Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, and Pedro Pascal. Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright will also return as Queen Hippolyta and Antiope in the sequel. The film is scheduled for release on October 2.
