The Chi season 4 hasn't been officially renewed on Showtime. Despite the lack of announcement, many were optimistic the series is coming back to deliver more stories. After all, the finale left some questions regarding the future of certain characters.

For instance, Emmett's (Jacob Latimore) storyline should be further explored in The Chi season 4. He is now married to Tiff (Hannaha Hall), but the problem is that he cheated on her with Dom (La La Anthony). Their situation could get complicated as the story moves forward.

Emmett continues working with Dom, and this could lead to more problems later on. Tiff isn't aware that the two have something more and this could hurt her if ever she finds out the truth. This is a huge part of Emmett's storyline, something that will cause huge trouble in his life.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, executive producer Justin Hillian discussed whether or not Emmett and Tiff's marriage is doomed because of what happened. He explained that Emmett is messed up and he's not ready as he thinks he is. But, then, he would rather not lose Tiff.

The executive producer added that the newlywed will encounter ups and downs, for sure. Both Emmett and Tiff have a lot of growing to do and the former will have a hard time keeping his infidelity a secret. Dom is constantly around and they're in the same circle so Tiff might feel betrayed once it was revealed.

Emmett's infidelity might come out at some point in The Chi season 4. After all, the series often brings conflicts involving several characters to push things forward. It's interesting to see what will happen to the three of them once the truth is out.

As for what else is potentially coming in The Chi season 4, Keisha (Birgundi Baker) remains to be one of the major parts of the story. She found out that she's pregnant, but she chose to move forward and decided to keep the baby. She deserves peace after everything that she's been through.

Meanwhile, the ratings of the third installment seemingly boost the renewal of the new season. Reportedly, season 3 averaged over 400,000 live television viewers, which slightly increased than in season 2. This is a good sign that the series is performing well on the network.

But, even if Showtime does renew The Chi season 4, we can't expect the series premiering anytime soon. The show has a lot of things to consider first, particularly the global health crisis. Thus, the new installment may come out at some point in 2021.
