Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the British Royal Family received "warnings" from the CEO of Republic, Graham Smith. He said that they could not keep on "demanding" for lavish royal weddings in the future. He, then, referenced Princess Beatrice's recent private wedding as the ideal way for the royals to mark the event.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Smith asserted that the royals might have already "realized" the concern these past few years. He pointed out that the public did not seemingly receive Princess Eugenie's 2018 wedding well, adding that many of the taxpayers were more concerned about the cost of the event.

He added that the public, even royal fans and supporters, would have likely become unimpressed if Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter Beatrice had that same kind of wedding amid the pandemic crisis. Accordingly, the Republic's head appeared to have approved of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's decision to have a small and private wedding event.

Smith continued to share his thoughts about the funds involved in royal weddings. He insisted that the public should no longer fund all future weddings from the British Royal Family, adding that they should all have them privately funded. In the end, he said that the United Kingdom should not spend any more "public money" on someone else's wedding, even if they are working royals.

Forbes, previously, released an article concerning the increasing cost of Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the British Royals. Based on the latest Sovereign Grant accounts, the publication reiterated that the British Monarchy had a 41 percent increase in total cost for 2018 to 2019 in comparison to the previous financial year. It, also, noted that the U.K. taxpayers are "forking" over more money for the British Royals, detailing that they cost about $86 million for the same financial year.

The publication said that the increase in spending came after the "critical renovations" inside Buckingham Palace. The public should, also, reportedly expect the cost to rise in the following financial year.

Aside from the lavish royal weddings and cost of the British Royal Family, Graham Smith, also, discussed Queen Elizabeth's real power in the United Kingdom. He said that the British Monarch has "no authority," noting that every decision has to go through the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

This, reportedly, makes it more "confusing" as the Queen and the British Monarchy seemingly appear to be "self-serving." He concluded that she protects nothing expect the Crown.
