This Is Us season 5 is coming within a few months on NBC. There are a lot of exciting things coming in the new installment. The cast members have been sharing updates on what's coming next, making fans even more excited with its arrival.

Just recently, the official Twitter account of the series shared a video featuring Justin Hartley (Kevin), Sterling K. Brown (Randall), and Chrissy Metz (Kate) all celebrating the Big Three's 40th birthday. The actual celebration is something that we could see in the upcoming This Is Us season 5.

Also, the video featured some of the young actors who played the versions of each of the characters. This clip is a reminder of the happy moments of the Big Three, given that the real drama is coming as the series approaches their 40th birthday.

One of the biggest storylines in This Is Us season 5 is Kevin and Randall's relationship. They become estranged and not on the talking terms after the events that happened to them in the previous season. What's concerning here is that their current situation suggests their relationship is tainted forever.

Speaking to Deadline, Brown said that Randall and Kevin's relationship has been complicated from the start and they'll continue to be a "yo-yo." Even though they put aside their differences, they'll continue to be odd with one another in the fifth installment.

As for Kate's storyline, This Is Us season 5 may uncover some of her secrets from the past. She's been hiding a few dark skeletons of her closet and these could unexpectedly appear and cause chaos. The series hasn't explored a lot of years, so some of the things she's been through might be addressed.

Perhaps, something happened to Kate that caused her to change in the flash-forward. She faced a lot of battles and some of which weren't shown in the series yet. Moreover, the reason why she decided to use the substance instead of food will be explored, as well.

Meanwhile, the fifth installment will deliver stories about the current global health crisis. Executive producer Dan Fogelman confirmed, on Twitter, that they're planning to address the pandemic. But, he made it clear that this plan won't impact how the story is going end.

The writers won't rewrite any flash-forward scenes or any scripts already brought to the table. Hence, even though we could see changes in the immediate future, the long-term goal of the series won't be changed and will remain the same.

This Is Us season 5 premieres on Tuesday, Nov. 10, on NBC.
