Yellowstone season 4 is expected to premiere sometime next year on Paramount Network. There are a lot of things that needed to be addressed once the new installment arrives. One of the major questions is whether or not a new Beg Bad will appear.
For now, it looks like Roarke Morris (Josh Holloway) and Willa Hays (Karen Pittman) remain to be the biggest adversaries entering Yellowstone season 4. These two are still around and their stories didn't have a closure when the third installment concluded
Roarke and Willa will continue to inflict damage on the ranch and will try to snatch it from the Dutton family. But, it's yet to be seen whether or not they'll remain as the Big Bad through the entire new season. Perhaps, they could be part of the early run before a new adversary appears.
There are speculations that Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) could be the new Big Bad in Yellowstone season 4. He's probably angry about the things that he found in the previous installment. He learned that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) isn't his real father and he's adopted.
He could use this situation to be a key player and get more money from the Duttons. But, even though he's seemingly mad about everything, it's unlikely that he's part of what happened to John, Beth (Kelly Reilly), and Kayce (Luke Grimes) in the season 3 finale.
It seems so sudden that he wants to kill one of the Duttons. Perhaps, Jamie's biological father was behind everything that transpired. Yet, there's a possibility that the Beck brothers will return to cause chaos again. If not, someone new could arrive and make everything difficult for the family.
Meanwhile, Yellowstone season 4 is said to be in the process of kicking things off in Montana. Usually, the series is filming earlier than other shows to take advantage of the nicer weather. But then, there are other filming concerns along the way.
The biggest challenge here is the global health crisis. Everyone needs to comply with certain health guidelines and protocols implemented in the area. Also, cast and crew must follow the proper social distancing measures to ensure their safety on the set while filming.
But, for Costner, the biggest filming challenge is the lengthy amount of time away from his family. The actor told Good Housekeeping that the current state of the world made it impossible for him to go back home whenever he wants.
The good thing is that the series isn't an all-year job since it only films 10 episodes every season. Thus, the time for Costner being away from his family is not that long. The upcoming installment could wrap everything up before this year ends.
Yellowstone season 4 is set to arrive in 2021.
