Miley Cyrus, finally, talked about her divorce from Liam Hemsworth. The singer said, contrary to what people believed, it wasn't a sudden decision. Cyrus, also, shared what she is looking for in a partner now.

The "Midnight Sky" shared her thoughts about the divorce and the public opinion about it, particularly on her. Miley said it was already upsetting to be separated from someone she loved but it was more devastating when it became public and everybody treated her as the reason for the split.

During her latest appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 27-year-old pop superstar admitted that going through a very public divorce was the most upsetting experience. Miley said she can accept the fact that she and the one she loved realized that we don't love each other the way that they used to. What she can't accept was the public treating her like a villain and making up stories about her.

Cyrus stressed that her breakup with the Hunger Games actor and her subsequent romance with Kaitlynn Carter didn't happen overnight. Miley clarified that there was a length of time between these two romances. The Hannah Montana actress told Rogan that this was the fact that people don't know about, implying that she and Hemsworth were no longer together when she had a relationship with Carter.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had an on-and-off romance that started when they both starred in the movie The Last Song in 2010. They first got engaged in 2012 but called it off a year later.

The two rekindled romance in early 2016 and got married in December 2018. In August 2019, Cyrus announced that she and Hemsworth were parting ways. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year while Miley was in a relationship with Cody Simpson.

Last month, Miley confirmed that she and the 23-year-old Australian singer-model have decided to take their separate ways. Cyrus said there was no drama in their breakup and they remain as friends. Reports have it that the two were no longer together since July.

During her two-hour talk with Joe Rogan, Cyrus, also, reflected on how she handled a breakup. The "Slide Away" singer said the men in life have told her that she's cold because she leaves them when things are done.

Miley Cyrus said this is the reason why she is now looking for older men. The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker said she doesn't need a man or a woman who could take care of her because she is very capable of doing that. What she needs is a person who can take care of himself.
