Prince Andrew, reportedly, visited his mother, Queen Elizabeth, in person in Balmoral, Scotland, after five months in lockdown. Reports stated that the Duke of York had a crisis talk with the monarch over his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

According to The Sun, Prince Andrew and Queen Elizabeth had a lot to discuss during his visit to his mother's summer home. Apparently, the Queen told her son she wanted to be "kept informed" about the Epstein scandal since she will not return to Windsor until the next five or six weeks.

However, royal correspondent Neil Sean denied that there was a crisis talk between the Queen and Prince Andrew. The truth was that it was the Duke of York's turn to see his mother after Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Balmoral with their children.

According to Sean, the royals had to follow social distancing protocols around Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip during this summer holiday. Thus, their time with the monarch was scheduled and divided to avoid a gathering of many family members.

The royal correspondent said that, while Prince Andrew's visit was not a crisis meeting, Queen Elizabeth likely discussed the Epstein case with her son. Sean, also, said that the Duke of York's visit to his mother shouldn't be a shocker since it's public knowledge that the two are close.

If there were no social distancing orders, Prince Andrew would have likely joined his mother for their Sunday churches and other activities around Windsor since his home is nearby. Before moving to Balmoral in the summer, the Queen was settled so well in the Windsor estate since the middle of March.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew is, apparently, under pressure to speak with the FBI over the Epstein case after protesters stormed Buckingham Palace. According to reports, millions watched the videos of the protesters chanting "pedophile" at the Palace gates.

The royal has denied that he got involved in Epstein's sex ring. He, also, said in a BBC interview that he doesn't recall meeting his accuser, Virginia Giuffre. The woman claimed that she was forced to be in bed with Prince Andrew by Epstein and his then-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.  The latter is, already, facing trial in New York and remains in prison without bail.

Friends of the royals said Maxwell will not put Prince Andrew in harm's way and will protect his friend from any legal repercussions. The Duke of York's friendship with Maxwell goes back nearly 30 years ago.
