Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just struck a mega-deal with Netflix, which didn’t shock a lot of people since they were already expected to go in that direction. After their official withdrawal, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were heavily speculated to join the entertainment scene, and their new contract with the steaming giant just confirmed the rumors.
Now, a royal biographer claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are exploiting the Royal Family by using their ties with them to snatch up the Netflix deal. Angela Levin also believed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already plotted this before their wedding.
"I think that it's the biggest exploitation of the Royal Family in our lifetime… I think this was plotted right from the very beginning, before the wedding. We know that they set up their website before the wedding, and I think that this is using them,” she said.
However, journalist Victoria Murphy rejected the idea, saying that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t have a “calculated ploy” and were truly committed to their duty at the beginning of their relationship. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for them and the couple decided to turn their backs on royal life instead.
While a lot of royal fans were already unhappy with Prince Harry’s decision to leave the U.K. and make a fresh start with Meghan Markle in Los Angeles, Angela Levin previously claimed that the Duke of Sussex’s desire to make his wife happy could be damaging to him. She said that his choice may come at a cost to himself.
The royal commentator, then, pointed out one of the main reasons why most people don’t like Meghan Markle. “I think a lot of the criticism comes about because she lectures the public on how to behave but does not do it herself,” she said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have urged the public to be environmentally friendly. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently received backlash after they were spotted doing the exact opposite of what they were preaching.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen getting into a black Cadillac SUV in Beverly Hills back in July. Netizens quickly pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may not be using an environmentally friendly vehicle.
This is not the first time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received backlash for doing the opposite of what they were urging the public to do. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex drew criticism last year when they took a private jet to go on vacation, despite the flight's carbon impact on the planet.
