Girls' Generation members YoonA, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sunny renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment.

According to a report by Soompi, the five members of Girls' Generation or SNSD renewed their contracts with the agency even though there is no major comeback confirmed for the girl group yet. Instead, members are busy promoting solo activities.

YoonA is very active with her acting career and recently signed on for her next drama Hush. The drama will revolve around a veteran news reporter who is conflicted between pragmatism and idealism. Yuri is, also, expected to continue with her acting activities.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon has been keeping a steady flow of comebacks and solo activities for the past few years. Hyoyeon followed in her footsteps and released her new single "Dessert" last July under the name DJ Hyo. The song was well received by the fans.

Meanwhile, Sunny recently appeared in the MBC variety called Where is My Home?

The news of SNSD members' renewal with SM Entertainment was happily met by fans who wished them good luck on their careers. They also expressed hope that the members would come together for a group comeback soon. Some comments suggested that the members should be part of the SM Board of Directors by now because of how long they've been with the label.

It can be recalled that, in 2017, three members of Girls Generation signed with different agencies. Sooyoung, Seohyun, and Tiffany left SM Entertainment to embark on their solo careers.

In related news, members of Girls' Generation recently celebrated their 13th debut anniversary with a special gathering. They posted their double celebration of Tiffany's birthday and the group's anniversary on their social media accounts.

In her post, Taeyeon expressed her love for the SONE, SNSD's official fandom. She said the members were thankful to the fans who stayed loyal and supportive over many years. She added that she was able to share her emotions and feelings with the fans and they continued to be there for her. Tiffany also expressed thankfulness because they had a chance to reunite for her birthday and SNSD's anniversary every year.

Even though the girls are not actively promoting together, they have proven their strong friendship by supporting each other's projects. The members get together from time to time to hang out and attend each other's concerts and gigs to cheer on their members.
