Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are starting a new life outside the Royal Family after they officially stepped down from their roles at the end of March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were heavily rumored to be joining the entertainment scene, and their recent announcement of their Netflix deal confirmed all speculations.
Now, royal fans are urging Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to stop using their titles after choosing the celebrity life over their royal duties. In a poll created by Express, 98% of voters believe that the couple should be stripped of their Duke and Duchess titles if they want to move into showbiz, and only two percent said no.
“No question. They have abandoned the Royal Family AND the UK, AND Britons in general. They should be immediately and permanently just be 'normals' - which is what they wanted anyway,” one commented. “Forget ‘dropping’ titles, they should be taken from them,” another one suggested.
While Queen Elizabeth stated that she and the rest of the Royal Family members support Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their senior royal roles, the public was not as accepting. In fact, many felt that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex abandoned the U.K. amid the coronavirus pandemic. The couple seemed to have left during the time Britons needed them the most.
But, this wasn't a shock to Carole Malone as she already saw this coming. The English TV presenter, journalist, and broadcaster previously claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not all about saving the planet, but greed, deceit, and money.
Carole Malone added that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were very selfish for pursuing their plan. She said that instead of focusing on Prince Philip’s health, Queen Elizabeth had to deal with the controversies surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s withdrawal.
She then pointed out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aiming to be “financially independent” is the “biggest joke of all.” Carole claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “liggers, freeloaders who want the best things in life but can only have them by taking favors from their super-rich cronies.” She also added that Harry still receives handouts from Prince Charles.
Carole Malone then said that Prince Harry is no longer the man everyone loved. A previous report even noted that the Duke of Sussex lost his spark after tying the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018.
