The Milwaukee Bucks will not win the NBA title this season, knocked out of the race by the Miami Heat, but they will certainly return a stronger team next season. The chief mission for the Bucks front office in the offseason is to find another superstar to support Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the likely target could be Chris Paul.

The All-Star guard is a quick answer to what the Bucks need. CP3 can attack from the perimeter, can create his own, and can direct the Milwaukee gameplay. Most importantly, Paul could be the guy to make Antetokounmpo's presence on the floor more lethal, which should indicate that the OKC point guard is a prized acquisition.

The question though: Is Paul available? It looks like Oklahoma is doing some rebuilding works as signified by the team's announcement on Tuesday that head coach Billy Donovan is not returning to his post next season. The move appeared to signal that big adjustments could happen in the weeks to come, according to Clutch Points.

In that regard, the report said CP3 is possibly on the trading block, per the information shared by Marc Stein of The New York Times. The NBA insider said rival teams are expecting that due to OKC's long-term plans, Paul will be offered for trading possibilities.

If this is true, Stein advised that the Bucks keep a close watch on the situation. The journalist said Milwaukee will most certainly implement key roster changes in the offseason and they should consider signing the OKC star if only for a short-term deal.

One thing to note, however, is Paul's age.  He is 35 years old but the numbers defy his performance with Oklahoma this season. CP3 averaged 17.6 points per game and coupled that with nearly seven assists plus five rebounds. His accuracy is nearly five out of ten from the floor so Paul is definitely worth his salt.

Bleacher Report said Paul figured prominently in Oklahoma's first-round series with the Houston Rockets that were headlined by James Harden and Russell Westbrook. The Rockers had a hard time sending off OKC their way mainly because of Paul.

That is why acquiring the star from OKC is a wise move. As the report pointed out, Paul on the Bucks' lineup will boost the team's title contention status. With a certified star and top performer available, it should be easier for the Bucks to convince Antetokounmpo that he can still win NBA titles with the team.

In essence, the Bucks hiring a veteran like Paul will make the NBA stronger than ever, and most likely, they'd get to keep Antetokounmpo, who is the target of big rivals like the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors.
