Lucifer season 5 dropped its first part in August on Netflix. The second part has no official release date at the moment, as production was halted due to the current global health crisis. Despite that, there are a lot of details about it already -- including the musical episode.

One of the remaining episodes of Lucifer season 5 will have a musical theme. We're going to see most of the characters get in on the act while having a good time. They'll be showcasing their talents -- like singing and dancing -- that were never seen before.

In a recent interview with Collider, Aimee Garcia, who plays Ella, discussed what viewers can expect in this particular episode. She said that everyone sings and dances and all of them did a great job. For instance, Kevin Alejandro (Dan) used to be a professional dancer, and we're going to see him dancing.

Garcia shared that Alejandro nailed his first rehearsal, as well as D.B. Woodside (Amenadiel). Also, the actress said she did a fun little something with Lesley-Ann Brandt. As for Lauren German (Chloe), she picked up the choreography quickly because she used to be a ballet dancer.

The main star of everything is Tom Ellis (Lucifer). Garcia noted that Ellis had a little time to rehearse, but he still nailed the choreography. Rachel Harris (Linda), on the other hand, will have a magical number. And lastly, viewers will see Scarlett Estevez (Trixie) singing a song.

There are eight episodes left in the second part of Lucifer season 5. Production was shut down due to the current global health crisis and it remains to be seen when filming could resume. The good thing is that most of the works are seemingly done.

In a separate interview with Collider, showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson talked about what's left in the remaining episode. Modrovich said they've got more than half of the final episode, which means they're close to finishing the entire season.

Henderson noted that they originally planned to split Lucifer season 5 into two parts. He said the current situation allowed them to release the first half and buy some time for the second half. Modrovich added they've built the cliffhanger in episode 8 because they know the current installment will be split.

Meanwhile, Lucifer season 5 proved to be a hit on Netflix following its release in the United States. The show ranked at the number 1 spot in the country on the platform. This is a good sign since it validates the decision of the streaming platform to order the sixth and final installment.
