Kanye West revealed on social media that he recently sought medical attention due to the pain in his right hand. His visit to the doctor, however, was due to a relatable habit and it will not, in any way, affect his presidential bid.

The Jesus Is King singer posted on Twitter an X-ray image of his right hand as well as a video of the procedure that he took. The rapper did not elaborate about the condition he suffered from but gave an idea to his nearly 40 million followers on the platform. He captioned the photo, "too much texting bro."

Kanye said he was given a mix of cortisone and lidocaine to ease the pain. The Grammy winner also shared a video of himself being injected with the medicine. He also acknowledged the effect of modern medicine, saying it "worked instantly."

Lidocaine is a known anesthetic or numbing agent. It is often combined with steroid-like cortisol to relieve joint pain.

On the Cleveland Clinic website, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Peter J. Evans said too much texting can lead to fine tears in the hand muscles and tendons, particularly in the thumb area. This creates inflammation that causes swelling and stiffness in the hand.

Dr. Eugene Tsai, an upper extremity surgeon at Cedars-Sinai, suggested using pointer fingers to text or voice messaging to give the thumb some rest. Tsai said sometimes injections are needed if the pain persists.

Meanwhile, West's latest update on his daily activities came a few days after his wife, Kim Kardashian, posted a video of the rapper walking on water during his Sunday Service in Atlanta. In the video, the Life of Pablo singer was seen leading his choir along with his children North, seven, and Saint, four, to the center of the lake.

At the moment, Kanye West is still trying to put his name in the state ballots for the 2020 elections. The rapper already suffered setbacks in his campaign since he announced his presidential bid in early July.

The latest of which was in Arizona and Ohio. The Arizona Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that the rapper's name will not appear on the state ballot as an independent candidate. The Ohio Supreme Court, on the other hand, sided with Secretary of State Frank LaRose on his decision to deny West's name in the ballots.

So far, Kanye West spent nearly $7 million for his presidential bid. A significant amount of the money was spent on consulting firms, who are working to get West's name on the state ballots.
