Directioners will no longer get a chance to take a photo with all the members of One Direction in Madame Tussauds in London. The wax museum decided to take down the wax figures of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik after seven years of housing them.

Madame Tussauds announced, on Thursday, that they have decided to remove 1D wax figures on their floor following the band's 10th anniversary in July. In a post on its official Twitter account, the museum said they came up with the decision not to display the members' figures any longer even though all five members are still active in the music industry.

The museum said its decision was based on the "celebrity landscape" and to update its exhibits regularly. Madame Tussauds did not say if it plans to replace the group exhibit with a solo wax figure of Harry, Liam, Niall, Louis, and Zayn.

The museum unveiled the wax figures of the five singers in 2013, three years after the group debut. When Malik left the group in 2015, his waxwork wasn't removed from the group collection. 1D went on hiatus in early 2016 after releasing their last album, "Made In The A.M.," in November 2015.

Meanwhile, the action of Madame Tussauds was met by heavy backlash from fans. Directioners took to social media to express their frustration that 1D wax figures will no longer be on display at the famous museum.

One fan said Madame Tussauds could remove the group but they should replace it with new figures of Styles, Payne, Tomlinson, Horan, and Malik as solo artists since all of them are still popular until now. Another said they don't understand why Madame Tussauds needs to remove 1D while half of the figures on display at the museum are dead in comparison to 1D members, who are still making music up to this date.

Many Directioners also suggested the museum should sell the figures or put it in an auction, instead of keeping it in their storage room. The fans assured all of the 1D figures will sell out in a snap.

Another fan shared a theory that Madame Tussauds could have decided to remove the 1D figures to give way to Little Mix waxworks. Back in March, Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall ranted that her group deserves to have their wax figures at the museum.

A source told The Sun that it looked like Madam Tussauds heard Jade's sentiment. The museum was, allegedly, looking for space where it can put up four new waxworks of Jade, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Madame Tussauds, reportedly, worked out on who can be moved out to make room for "more relevant" celebrities like Little Mix.
