Kanye West shook the Twitter world once again when he posted a series of tweets, on Monday, wherein he dropped names of several famous celebrities such as Jay-Z, Drake, and J. Cole among others, and called himself the "new Moses."

Kanye started his recent tweetstorm with a message to Jay-Z. West said he wished to meet with the Roc Nation founder, before apologizing for misspelling Beyonce's husband's given name. The Christ Is King rapper did not say his reason why he wanted to talk to Jay-Z but said he doesn't want to argue with his fellow black celebrity on platforms that they don't own like Twitter.

In his message for Drake and J. Cole, Kanye demanded a public apology from the two, whom he has feuded with in the past. Kanye added he's not Nat Turner before calling himself as the "new Moses." Turner was a slave who became a preacher and made history as the leader of the slave revolts in America in 1831.

Kanye West also stressed that he wouldn't release new music until he is freed from his contract with Universal Music and Sony, which owns EMI Publishing, the company that holds his catalog. Back in September 2019, Kanye reached an undisclosed settlement with EMI Publishing over ownership of the songs he made after October 2010.

A few months ago, West teased a supposed new album that he will release by the end of July. However, the date came and went but no album was released. Kanye subsequently released what seemed to be an album cover but did not set a new date for its release or further tweet about it.

West also aimed at the media company Vivendi, which owns a majority stake in the Universal Music Group. He claimed that the music industry and the NBA are "modern-day slave ships." Kanye, then, implied that he is the one who could save it as he called himself once again as the "new Moses."

The Life of Pablo hitmaker further tweeted about Travis Scott's deal with McDonald's. The rapper claimed Steve Stoute was hurt that he didn't get the deal with the world's biggest food chain. West took a jab on Stoute following the latter's statement saying he doesn't want any Black voter running around voting for West.

Kanye West's recent tweets were mainly about his grievances in the industry. It also looked like he was calling on her fellow black celebrities to unite and support him. He likewise appealed to his "brothers" to stop dissing each other on labels and publishing companies that they don't own.
