Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, and Scott Disick continued filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians after the revelation it would come to an end next year. With the continuation of the show's production, a source said everyone seemed to be now okay with the decision to end the family's long-running reality series.

The three were at a Malibu beach in California for the show's filming. However, they only stayed there for a few minutes due to the smoke from the California wildfires.

A source told People the two Kardashian sisters were happy to continue filming. But, before they decided to stop KUWTK's production, the insider revealed they all had "some conflicts."

Now, they seemed to be fine with that decision. The tipster added they would continue filming until the last season with their brother, Rob Kardashian, this time. As it would be the last time they would be all together on the small screen, they all wanted to make their last season memorable for their fans.

In an interview on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Kris Jenner revealed Khloe was the most affected on the show's ending. The 36-year-old cried her heart out after the announcement was made.

At the time, they had to tell the crew about KUWTK's ending, so tears couldn't help but fall on their faces. However, Khloe took it the "hardest."

The KarJenner matriarch revealed her daughter was "so sweet and emotional about it." But, they wouldn't let its end stop them and promised to "have the best time doing what they do."

Kris revealed they felt it was the right time to say goodbye to their show. She knew they had "an amazing run," and for that, they were "so grateful."

According to Yahoo!KUWTK's end is an "end of an era." The show's conclusion says a lot about the decline of the traditional cable television and not the relevance of the Kardashians today.

When the show premiered in 2007, it was the "poignant time in peak TV history." It was when Gossip Girl and Made Men thrived. High School Musical 2 was the most-watched made-for-TV movie in history with over 17 million viewers then.

At the time, cable TV was the best at-home entertainment. But, now, the media landscape has changed and viewers now have a lot of options to choose from.

Streaming services, like Netflix, become a thing. It is more popular today, with 78% of U.S. households have a subscription to the top three video-on-demand services, Amazon, Netflix, and Hulu.

Compared to KUWTK Season 4 finale in February 2010 with 4.8 million viewers, their most recent episode only had 810,000 viewers. With the rise of social media, the Kardashians don't need to appear on KUWTK to be famous anymore. What they need are their fans and social media to continuously be relevant.
